73 Years Young: A Birthday

A Farewell, and A New Beginning

August 17th, I celebrated my 73rd birthday, and with it comes a very personal announcement. After more than a decade of joy, growth, and magic at the Rock Shop, I’ve decided it’s time to step into retirement. That means, Robert and I will be closing the Rock Shop storefront by the end of this year.

 

This decision comes with a heart full of gratitude. The Rock Shop has been more than a store; it has been a community, a gathering place, and a sanctuary of inspiration. We have loved every conversation, every class, and every shared moment of discovery with all of you.

 

As I embrace this new season of life, I’m not entirely sure what my “retirement” looks like! But I’m excited to focus more on writing, teaching, coaching, and new creative adventures. In the meantime, between now and the end of 2025, we’ll make every moment count, celebrating with special opportunities for you to find your favorite treasures before we close the store.

 

This isn’t goodbye just yet. The store will be open through the end of the year! It’s a chance to honor everything we’ve built together and to walk with gratitude into whatever comes next. Thank you for being part of this journey. You’ve made the Rock Shop a beacon of light in downtown Paducah, and Robert and I are forever grateful.
